About the role
As a General Labourer, you will assist with daily production operations and general duties throughout the facility. Tasks may vary depending on operational requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Handling and moving processed cattle hides
- Assisting with leather-processing machinery and production activities
- Sorting, grading, stacking and packing hides
- Moving materials and products around the facility
- Performing general labouring and manual handling duties
- Maintaining clean, tidy and safe work areas
- Following safe work procedures and workplace health and safety requirements
- Identifying and reporting hazards, equipment faults and safety concerns
- Working with supervisors and other team members to meet production targets
About you
- A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- The ability to follow instructions and workplace procedures
- Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing, agriculture or general labouring will be an advantage, but is not essential
- A current forklift licence would be highly regarded but is not essential
