Wilga Farming Australia (WFA) is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst to join our team.
This role sits at the centre of our business, managing the flow of financial, operational, and market data, and ensuring insights reach the right people at the right time. You’ll work closely with farm managers, finance teams, and senior leadership to translate complex information into clear strategies that support profitability, growth, and resilience.
This is not just a desk role. You’ll be hands‑on in supporting commercial decisions, shaping business plans, with regular travel across Australia to ensure every plan is grounded in evidence and achievable in practice.
Whether you’re an emerging Business Analyst looking to build your commercial experience, or a more experienced Senior Business Analyst who can turn complex numbers into strategy, we’d like to hear from you.
We’re open to shaping the role around the right person, with the level of responsibility, autonomy and strategic exposure aligned to your experience and capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the accurate and timely exchange of financial, operational, and market data within WFA.
- Analyse performance trends, risks, and opportunities to deliver actionable insights.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital investment analysis, reporting and planning.
- Partner with farm managers, suppliers, and contractors to achieve commercial outcomes.
- Drive process improvement, innovation, and efficiency across the platform.
About You
You’re more than just numbers-focused, you know how to turn data into meaningful insights that drive decisions.
You may be an emerging Business Analyst looking to build your commercial capability and gain exposure across a diverse agricultural business. You’re analytical, detail‑focused and keen to learn how operational and financial data can be used to support better decisions. Or, you may already be operating at a more senior level, with the experience and commercial judgement to look beyond the numbers, identify what’s driving performance, and turn complex information into practical insights and strategy.
At either level, you thrive on managing complex information flows and uncovering the trends that matter. You build trusted relationships easily, whether you’re out in the paddock with farm managers or in the boardroom with finance teams.
Above all, you’re organised, proactive, and motivated. You take ownership, deliver on deadlines, you are across the finer details and help the business stay ahead of the curve.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong skills in business analysis, financial modelling, and strategy development.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in, business analytics, commerce, economics, agribusiness or a related discipline.
- Current driver’s licence and ability to undertake regular travel.
- Experience in agribusiness, agriculture, or a related sector.
What We Offer
- Impactful Work – the opportunity to shape commercial decisions and contribute to the growth of a large‑scale, innovative farming business.
- Professional Growth – exposure to diverse aspects of agribusiness, with ongoing learning and career development opportunities.
- Collaborative Culture – work alongside a supportive team of farm managers, finance professionals, and industry experts.
