We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at GUESS DFO Brisbane.
The Opportunity
As Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to drive store performance, lead and develop the team, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the store, helping to create a positive team culture, maintain strong operational standards and ensure the GUESS brand is represented consistently. This is a great opportunity for an experienced retail leader looking to further develop their management skills within a globally recognised fashion brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in leading the team to achieve sales targets, KPIs and overall store objectives.
- Motivate, coach and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve their individual and store targets.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training to build a capable and high-performing team.
- Support sales strategies and promotional initiatives to drive traffic, maximise sales and improve store profitability.
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards, ensuring the store consistently reflects the GUESS brand.
- Oversee stock management, including replenishment, transfers, stocktakes and inventory accuracy.
- Assist with daily store operations, including rostering, payroll processes and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Lead by example, fostering a positive, inclusive and accountable team environment.
- Support the Store Manager in identifying opportunities to improve store performance and operational efficiency.
About You
- Previous experience in an Assistant Store Manager, Supervisor, or senior retail leadership role, ideally within fashion or apparel.
- A strong understanding of retail sales performance, KPIs and what drives commercial results.
- Confident leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team.
- A customer-focused approach and a genuine passion for delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- An eye for detail and an appreciation for visual merchandising and brand presentation.
- A passion for fashion and an interest in current trends and consumer behaviour.
- Flexibility to work a retail roster, including weekends and peak trading periods.
