Are you a hands-on leader passionate about driving production excellence while building a safety-first, continuously improving manufacturing environment? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.
As a key part of the Grundfos Pumps Australia (GPA) & New Zealand (GNZ) Assembly & Warehouse Operations team, you’ll create impact by leading a multi-skilled workforce to achieve operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement while shaping a culture of zero harm and employee engagement.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Direct daily production, inbound, outbound, and material line feeding operations, driving improvements in productivity, quality, and inventory accuracy.
- Champion a zero-harm, safety-first culture by positively influencing team behaviours and maintaining compliance with regulatory, legal, and ISO quality standards.
- Develop and coach a multi-skilled, flexible workforce through structured training, shift planning, and performance management to maximize resource utilization.
- Define strategy and deliver on SQDICP targets — safety, quality, delivery, continuous improvement, conversion costs, and budget — across production and warehouse.
- Drive continuous improvement and zero-defect initiatives through employee engagement, 5S leadership, and Lean methodologies.
- Act as designated backup for the GPA/GNZ Production & Warehouse Manager, providing leadership oversight, managing escalations, and sustaining operational continuity.
Above all, you are a proactive manufacturing leader with strong people management skills, Lean mindset, and the operational breadth to oversee both production and warehouse functions in a fast-paced environment. We would also imagine that you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechatronics, mechanical, or electronics engineering — or 8-10 years equivalent experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics.
- Proven frontline team management experience in a production or warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in SAP and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, ISO quality systems, and safety management.
It is a plus if you also:
- Have product knowledge of the Grundfos range or similar pump/flow technology products.
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects and driving cultural change.
- Familiarity with direct labor cost calculation and budget management.
Why you will love working here:
- A working environment built around your needs.
- Annual bonus and a strong focus on well-being activities.
- Three days’ additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
- Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.
