AEC Woolloongabba is looking for an evening Client Care Representative:
- Permanent Part Time position
- 2pm to 11pm weekdays and 2pm to midnight Friday, Saturday & Sunday
- Penalty rates apply for overtime and any after-hours work
Are you an experienced veterinary receptionist or a vet nurse looking to step away from the nursing side of the industry? The Animal Emergency Centre at Woolloongabba is looking for a new addition to our client care team.
As a 24-hour facility, a variety of shifts are required including nights and weekends, but we’re primarily looking for someone to step into night shifts with confidence!
As a client care representative with AEC, you'll be the first point of contact at the front desk of a busy veterinary clinic and for a high-volume of phone calls from concerned pet owners.
No two nights are ever the same, and you’ll be working with a dedicated team of vets, nurses and client care team members to provide the highest standard of care to our furry patients. Read on to see if you might be the right fit for our team:
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills with the ability to exhibit compassion, understanding and empathy for both animals and their owners
- Able to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Able to show initiative and forward planning when working in a wider team
- Organisation and multitasking skills when tackling a list of tasks each day
- Confidence working alone and during evenings
- Confidence with decision making
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities – you’ll be attending to both Greencross GP Clinic clients and Animal Emergency Clients
About You:
You’re a confident, professional, and emotionally resilient individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting.To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 2+ years in Veterinary reception or nursing role preferred, but confidence in the medical field also considered
- Strong initiative and ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- A reliable, positive, and proactive attitude
- A natural ability to stay calm and empathetic, even under pressure
- A passion for animals and delivering outstanding customer service
