In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to critically ill and emergency patients, working in a fast‐paced environment where every shift presents new challenges and learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high‐quality nursing care to emergency and critical care patients, ensuring their safety and well‐being at all times
- Assist veterinarians during diagnostic procedures, treatments, and surgeries, upholding the highest standards of patient care
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, including post‐operative care, and respond to emergencies efficiently
- Communicate effectively with the veterinary team, pet owners, and specialists to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and follow‐up care
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, supporting colleagues and participating in continuous learning opportunities
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualification: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) is essential
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency or critical care setting preferred
- Skills: Strong technical nursing skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and emergency response
- Flexibility: Ability to work across a 24/7 roster, adapting to the dynamic nature of emergency and critical care
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team
- Team Player: A positive attitude with a strong commitment to providing the best possible care for our patients
