ECC Veterinary Nurse – Veterinary Referral Hospital (VRH), Dandenong VIC
Are you an experienced veterinary nurse looking to step into referral and Emergency & Critical Care, or an ECC nurse seeking your next challenge? We are on the hunt for high‐skill nurses to join our growing ECC team, particularly for part‐time evening, overnight and weekend shifts, with a focus on weekend availability.
About The Role
At VRH you will work with state‐of‐the‐art equipment including mechanical ventilators, high‐flow nasal oxygen, species‐specific oxygen cages, a dedicated Critical Care Unit, CT, MRI, and endoscopy. You will deliver exceptional nursing care in an exciting environment where shifts are varied and unpredictable.
- ICU and Critical Care nursing
- Emergency and hospital nursing
- Triage and patient stabilisation
- Anaesthesia monitoring and support
- Management of a diverse and challenging caseload

What We're Looking For
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a veterinary nurse
- Confidence monitoring general anaesthesia, including ECG, SpO2, ETCO2 and blood pressure monitoring
- A willingness to learn, grow and develop your skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Passion for providing exceptional patient care
- Availability for overnight, weekend and public holiday shifts
- Previous emergency or referral experience is highly regarded but not essential
