Senior Project Manager (IP Core Networks)

Green Light’s Sydney delivery teams need several experienced IP Core Project Managers to work on-site on a large telecommunications program.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of Mobile Core Network transformation, upgrade, migration and deployment projects within a Tier 1 telecommunications environment.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, change control and delivery governance across multiple workstreams.
- Coordinate delivery across Core Network, IP/MPLS Transport, Data Centre, Security, Operations and vendor teams.
- Drive project execution from planning and design through build, testing, migration, cutover and operational handover.
- Develop and manage deployment, rollback and contingency plans, ensuring minimal customer impact during live-network implementations.
- Facilitate project governance, stakeholder engagement, technical workshops, CAB approvals and executive reporting forums.
- Manage relationships with internal engineering teams and external vendors, ensuring delivery milestones, quality standards and project objectives are achieved.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Project Management experience delivering complex telecommunications or network infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience leading Mobile Core, IP Core, IMS, IP/MPLS or large-scale network transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of Mobile Core Network architecture, IP/MPLS transport networks and associated network dependencies.
- Experience managing live-network upgrades, migrations, cutovers and operational acceptance activities within carrier-grade environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-vendor telecommunications projects involving technologies from vendors such as Ericsson, Nokia and Cisco.
- Strong project governance skills, including RAID management, scheduling, dependency management, stakeholder engagement and executive-level reporting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders across complex delivery programs.
