50T Excavator Operator – Final Trim & GPS | $50/hr + Penalties | 2:1 FIFO to Townsville| Flights & Accommodation Included
About the role
You will operate a 50-tonne excavator to carry out excavation and final trim earthworks using GPS machine control, delivering work to project specifications.
Key responsibilities
Completing excavation and final trim works to specified levels and tolerances
Confidently using GPS machine control systems
Reading and following plans and site instructions
Completing daily pre-start checks and reporting equipment faults
Working closely with supervisors and other operators to meet project requirements
Maintaining a high standard of safety, workmanship and equipment care
About you
Demonstrated GPS machine control experience
A current driver's licence and White Card
Current licences, competencies and certifications relevant to the equipment being operated
Competencies verified through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
A current RII qualification for excavator operations and any other applicable earthmoving equipment
A current 4WD competency if operating vehicles on unsealed roads within the Townsville Field Training Area (TFTA)
Ability to commit to a 2:1 FIFO roster
DIDO from Townsville or somewhere local
