As an Officer, Operations Integration, you'll work across the project lifecycle, building a deep understanding of our assets, systems and operational needs while providing practical input into planning, design, commissioning and handover activities.

Working alongside project teams, operators, contractors and technical specialists, you'll learn how assets are operated and maintained in practice, helping ensure new infrastructure is safe, operable and fit for purpose before transitioning into operational ownership.

You'll develop the knowledge and relationships needed to become a trusted operational voice within projects, helping bridge the gap between project delivery and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational input into the planning, design and delivery of new water and wastewater assets.
  • Review project documentation, designs, risk assessments and commissioning plans to ensure operational requirements are met.
  • Participate in HAZOP, CHAIR and project review activities, representing operational perspectives.
  • Support and oversee commissioning activities, monitoring asset performance and identifying operational risks.
  • Develop operating procedures, work instructions and training materials for new assets.
  • Coordinate operational handovers, outages and cutovers to support seamless integration into business-as-usual operations.
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer activities to operational teams.

Skills & Experience

  • Operational knowledge of water and/or wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure.
  • Experience in commissioning, operational integration, asset handover or operational readiness activities.
  • Ability to review technical documentation, designs, risk assessments and operational procedures.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience working with contractors, operators and project teams.
  • Understanding of operational safety, compliance and permit‑to‑work systems.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and provide practical operational solutions.
  • Familiarity with SCADA, OT systems and control systems.
  • Certificate IV in Water Operations, Trade Qualification, Engineering qualification, or equivalent operational experience (Highly regarded).
  • Valid Australian drivers licence (required)
