Deliver exceptional medical congresses. Grow our audience. Help shape the future of GP education.
About GP Refresh
GP Refresh brings general practitioners together through practical, independent medical education. Our signature format combines six-minute clinical talks, audience-driven panel discussions and learning that GPs can apply in everyday practice.
With congresses across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and international expansion planned, we are looking for an Events & Growth Manager to help deliver outstanding events and grow our delegate community.
The opportunity
This is a hands‑on role combining event management with commercial growth. You will coordinate congress delivery, drive delegate registrations and develop relationships that bring more practices, healthcare organisations and partners into the GP Refresh community.
Working closely with the Founder, professional conference organiser and internal teams, you will turn plans into clear actions, keep delivery on track and take ownership of measurable results.
Key responsibilities
Event planning and delivery
- Coordinate event plans, timelines, budgets and delivery milestones across multiple cities.
- Work with our professional conference organiser, venues and suppliers on logistics, registration, exhibition requirements and onsite delivery.
- Coordinate speaker logistics and communications in collaboration with the Scientific Committee.
- Manage run sheets, team briefings and event readiness, resolving issues promptly.
- Improve the delegate and exhibitor experience through clear communications and responsive service.
- Complete post-event reviews and implement improvements for future congresses.
Delegate acquisition and growth
- Develop and execute plans to increase paid registrations, group bookings and repeat attendance.
- Build relationships with GP practices, corporate practice groups, professional networks and healthcare organisations.
- Coordinate registration campaigns with marketing and digital teams, including email, social media and direct outreach.
- Manage enquiries and follow-up processes to convert interest into confirmed bookings.
- Monitor registration performance, campaign conversion and acquisition costs, recommending changes based on results.
Reporting and coordination
- Maintain accurate CRM records, clear ownership of tasks and timely follow-up.
- Report weekly on registrations, sales pipeline, budgets, risks and upcoming priorities.
- Coordinate staff, contractors and suppliers against agreed responsibilities and deadlines.
