About This Opportunity
Gough Recruitment is building a talent pool of experienced Contract Administrators for upcoming roles with Perth builders and contractors across commercial, residential and fit-out construction. When a role comes up that fits, you’ll be the first person we call.
The Position
Working alongside the Project Manager, you’ll own the contractual and commercial side of multiple projects. That covers procurement, trade packages, claims, cost control, variations and final accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare procurement documents and scope, negotiate and let trade packages
- Manage cost and revenue budgets with the PM
- Prepare client progress claims and approve subcontractor invoices
- Keep cash flow positive by staying on top of claims and payments
- Price, negotiate and manage variations
- Make sure all parties meet their obligations under the contract and WA legislation
- Identify and manage commercial risk
- Close out final accounts
The Criteria
You’ll bring:
- 3+ years as a Contract Administrator or Quantity Surveyor on the builder’s side
- A certificate, diploma or degree in construction, contract administration or a related field
- Solid knowledge of Australian Standard contracts and WA security of payment
- Experience with construction project management softwareConfidence with Excel, Word and reporting tools
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- The ability to juggle multiple projects and tight deadlines
- A current driver’s licence and White Card
- Full Australian working rights
