Trainer & Assessor – Queensland Rail (SARC & WET)

As a Trainer & Assessor, you will be responsible for facilitating engaging and compliant training programs, assessing participant competency, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality in line with Queensland Rail requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver Queensland Rail SARC and WET training programs.
- Conduct competency-based assessments and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate training and assessment records.
- Ensure all training delivery complies with Queensland Rail and RTO requirements.
- Manage classroom and practical training environments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within training programs.
- Promote a positive safety culture and professional learning environment.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to support successful training outcomes.
About you
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116, TAE40122, or equivalent).
- Current Queensland Rail approval and demonstrated capability to deliver SARC and WET training.
- Demonstrated rail industry experience within the Queensland rail network.
- Current industry skills, knowledge, and ongoing professional development relevant to rail operations and training delivery.
- Strong knowledge of rail safety requirements, procedures, and operational environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High-level organisational and administrative skills.
- Current driver's licence.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Desirable: Additional rail industry competencies and accreditations.
