Gotcha4Life Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers inspirational, evidence-based, preventative mental fitness campaigns, programs, and services. Since 2017, Gotcha4Life has been on a mission to inspire and enable people of all ages to take action to build their mental fitness. We take a protective-factor-first and strengths-based approach to building mental fitness, focusing on the skills, relationships, and everyday actions that support us to navigate life’s ups and downs. Our work shifts the conversation from “what’s wrong?” to “what makes us strong?”, helping people strengthen their emotional adaptability, social connection, and help-seeking behaviour.

As a Gotcha4Life Mental Fitness / Wellbeing Educator, you will play an important role in delivering the Mentally Fit Schools program across a portfolio of schools in Victoria. Mentally Fit Schools is Gotcha4Life’s evidence-informed, whole-of-school approach to building mental fitness and strengthening the protective factors that support children and school communities to thrive. You will work collaboratively with schools to build their wellbeing capacity, inspiring and enabling school communities to adopt a proactive approach to building mental fitness.

Partnering with and mentoring schools through the Mentally Fit Schools framework, this role is responsible for delivering evidence-informed mental fitness training, coaching and resources, building strong relationships with school staff and leaders, and helping connect Victorian schools with the broader Gotcha4Life community.

This is a full‑time position (1.0 FTE), based in Melbourne and working across your portfolio of partner schools. The role involves a combination of face‑to‑face delivery in schools, virtual coaching and collaboration, and working from home. As our Victorian team continues to grow, we expect to create more opportunities for the team to come together regularly for connection, collaboration and professional learning. We are a growing and passionate team, driven by the impact we make in school communities. You’ll be part of a supportive team environment, with access to experienced peers and leaders across Gotcha4Life. Salary packaging options are also available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program Leadership: Lead the delivery of the Mentally Fit Schools evidence-based mental fitness and wellbeing program, partnering with schools to guide whole-of-school implementation. Support schools to clarify priorities, set shared focus areas and strengthen practices that align with their data, context and wellbeing goals.
  • Delivery & Facilitation: Deliver and facilitate face‑to‑face and virtual mental fitness workshops, presentations and training for various audiences, including teachers and staff, students, and parents and carers.
  • School Partnership Engagement: Foster meaningful relationships with partner schools and key stakeholders and cultivate a deep understanding of each school’s unique context.
  • Evaluation and Impact Reporting: Actively monitor and evaluate a school’s progress, collaborating to address feedback and continuously drive impact.
  • Increase Engagement: Collaborate closely with the Program Delivery team and the wider Gotcha4Life team to identify opportunities to increase school engagement in Gotcha4Life initiatives.
  • Operations and Administration: Manage the different stages of the program lifecycle and maintain thorough records of each school to support continuity, accountability and quality delivery.
  • Community Engagement: Build connections with local education networks, community organisations and other relevant stakeholders across the region.
