Our client is a premium Australian commercial law firm with offices in Melbourne and Sydney, and for decades it has advised some of the country's most influential individuals and families. Its national Private Clients and Family Office practice is entering a period of investment and growth, and is expanding in both cities. There are multiple openings, from Senior Associate through to Special Counsel, in Sydney or Melbourne.

About the role
You will work directly with high-net-worth individuals, families and family offices on complex and sensitive matters. Depending on your background, your work may include:
- Family office structuring and governance
- The acquisition, sale and restructuring of family and privately owned businesses
- Private capital investments and other M&A transactions
- Trusts, asset protection and wealth structuring
- Family agreements, succession and estate planning, and intergenerational wealth transfer
- Philanthropic structures, foundations and social investment
- Coordinating legal, tax and commercial advice across a family's affairs
What you'll bring
- 5+ years' PAE in private practice
- Admission to practise in Australia
- Strong experience advising high-net-worth individuals, family-owned businesses and/or family offices (complementary corporate, M&A, philanthropy or tax backgrounds are also welcome)
- Strong technical skills, commercial judgement and attention to detail
- The ability to manage matters independently with appropriate supervision
- Superior analytical, communication and drafting skills
- The discretion and sensitivity to advise on complex, confidential matters
