Our client is a well-established, modern dental clinic in the Newcastle/Hunter region with a strong reputation for patient-centred care and comprehensive treatment planning. The team is collaborative and growth-minded, with clinicians already providing orthodontic services and a clinic environment designed to support high-quality dentistry through efficient workflows and experienced support staff.
About the position
Our client is looking for a Dentist to join our clients’ team with a specific willingness and capability to provide fixed braces treatment in-clinic. While the practice currently delivers orthodontic care (including expansion and related ortho workflows), this position is aimed at expanding access to comprehensive fixed appliance therapy for suitable cases.
You will provide broad general dentistry while also offering orthodontic assessments and treatment planning, with the opportunity to build a strong braces caseload alongside aligners and other elective services.
Your scope may include (but isn’t limited to)
- Comprehensive examinations, diagnosis, preventive care and patient education
- Restorative dentistry including composite fillings, crowns and bridges
- Orthodontic consultations and records (photos, scans/impressions, OPG/ceph where required)
- Fixed braces treatment: case selection, bonding, adjustments and retention protocols
- Aligner therapy and interceptive orthodontics (as appropriate)
- Expansion/orthopaedic-style ortho workflows (where suitable and within scope)
- Extractions, emergency dentistry and pain relief appointments
- Cosmetic dentistry opportunities (whitening, bonding, veneers planning) depending on interest
Key requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Dentist with unrestricted Australian working rights
- Demonstrated experience providing fixed braces, or strong capability with appropriate case selection
- Confidence in orthodontic diagnosis, treatment planning and patient communication/consent
- Commitment to ethical dentistry, clinical governance and excellent record keeping
- Team-first mindset and willingness to collaborate with other clinicians on ortho cases
On offer
- A role tailored to a Dentist who wants to provide fixed braces as a core service
- Busy potential with an established patient base and strong interest in orthodontics
- Supportive, collaborative team environment with experienced clinical and admin support
- Modern practice systems and technology to support efficient workflows
- Flexibility: part-time or full-time considered
- Opportunity to broaden your scope across aligners, cosmetic dentistry and comprehensive general care
Additional information
- Dedicated demand for fixed braces within a busy, modern clinic
- Supportive team already delivering orthodontic care (incl. expansion work)
- Flexible part-time or full-time options with strong systems and support
