Full-time | Brisbane | Lead some of South East Queensland’s most loved markets. If your favourite days at work are the ones where you’re constantly on the move, solving problems, leading people and making things happen, keep reading. This isn’t an office job. It’s a leadership role where you’ll take ownership of one of our markets, lead a team, build relationships with local businesses and become part of a community that thousands of people enjoy every week.

About Us

Goodwill Projects is one of Australia’s largest and most awarded market, venue and event operators. Winners of the 2023 Telstra Best of Business Award – Building Communities and the 2024 Australian Small Business Champion Awards, we’ve been creating vibrant community experiences since 2006. Today we deliver 12 high-profile markets, the iconic Eat Street Northshore and a growing portfolio of events and venue activations enjoyed by more than 100,000 people every week. Our markets help small businesses thrive, bring communities together and create places people genuinely love spending time in.

About the Role

As a Market Operations Manager, you’ll be trusted to run your market like it’s your own. Market day is where you’ll make the biggest impact. You’ll lead your team, support stallholders, solve problems, keep operations running smoothly and create an exceptional experience for everyone who visits. During the week, you’ll spend time planning upcoming markets, communicating with stallholders, completing administration and working with the wider Goodwill Projects team to ensure everything is ready for the following weekend. You’ll also support seasonal twilight events and work alongside our leadership team on initiatives that continue improving our markets. No two market days are ever the same and that’s exactly why our team loves what they do.

Why You’ll Love this Role

  • Own Your Market: Take responsibility for one of South East Queensland’s most recognised markets and be trusted to make decisions that matter.
  • Be Part of the Action: If you enjoy being around people, solving problems and leading from the front, you’ll feel right at home.
  • Real Variety: A unique combination of operations, leadership, customer service, events and community engagement.
  • Build Your Career: Many of our leaders have grown through the business as we’ve expanded. We invest in good people and create opportunities for those who want to grow.
  • Join a Great Team: We work hard, support one another and genuinely enjoy what we do. We celebrate wins, share plenty of laughs and are proud of the culture we’ve built.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of one or more markets.
  • Build strong relationships with stallholders, customers, councils and key stakeholders.
  • Lead and support your onsite team to deliver exceptional market experiences.
  • Coordinate stallholder applications, weekly allocations and market layouts.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve issues with confidence and professionalism.
  • Support seasonal events and special activations throughout the year.
  • Complete weekly planning, reporting, communication and administration that keeps your market running smoothly.

Please note: Market days require early starts (from approximately 3:00am) and you’ll be on site for up to 12 hours. If you enjoy being hands‑on and thrive in an environment where every day is different, you’ll love it.
