Help older people move with confidence, maintain their independence and keep doing the things that matter to them.
At Good Shepherd Lodge, care starts with knowing the person—their story, their goals and what makes each day meaningful. We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Lead Physiotherapist who shares this approach and is ready to guide a team, contribute ideas and make a positive difference across our residential and community services.
Meaningful care. Supportive leadership. Room to make a difference.
This role brings together hands‑on physiotherapy and team leadership. You’ll build relationships with residents and community clients, deliver care shaped around their individual goals, and support Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy Assistants to do their best work.
Whether you’re helping someone regain confidence after a fall, supporting their mobility at home or mentoring a colleague, your contribution will have a direct impact on people’s everyday lives.
Working closely with the Manager – Community & Allied Health Services, you will:
- Deliver personalised assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and reablement programs that support mobility, comfort and independence.
- Lead, mentor and support a cohesive physiotherapy team, encouraging shared learning and professional accountability.
- Coordinate referrals, appointments and workloads to support timely access and continuity of care.
- Work alongside residents, clients, families and other health professionals to achieve meaningful care goals.
- Bring ideas to life through service development, quality improvement and practical use of performance information.
- Share your expertise through education on falls prevention, safe transfers, mobility and equipment use.
Bring your expertise—and your heart for care
You’re an experienced Physiotherapist who enjoys building connections and helping others succeed. You combine sound clinical judgement with a practical, collaborative approach and understand that progress looks different for every person.
You will bring:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist.
- At least five years’ postgraduate experience, including experience in aged care, community or rehabilitation settings.
- Demonstrated clinical supervision or leadership experience within an allied health team.
- Knowledge of contemporary aged care practice and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Strong communication, organisation and clinical documentation skills.
- A current driver’s licence and the ability to travel to community clients.
Experience in service development, referral coordination or performance reporting would also be welcomed.
