This is a casual barista customer service role at Goldies Bake Shop in Runaway Bay, Queensland. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a range of hot and cold beverages, as well as light food items, to customers in a friendly and efficient manner. Reporting to the Café Manager, this role is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience at our popular bakery cafe. There is opportunity for development to a permanent role in the business and with 8 locations across the Gold Coast growth within the company is possible.
What you'll be doing:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, milkshakes and other specialty beverages
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, blenders and other cafe equipment
- Provide friendly, welcoming and efficient customer service
- Ensure the cafe's front-of-house and preparation areas are clean, tidy and well-stocked at all times
- Support the Café Manager with other duties as required
What we're looking for:
- At least 6 months' experience working as a barista in a cafe or similar food and beverage setting
- Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and ability to prepare a range of coffee-based drinks
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and procedures
- A passion for food and beverages and creating a great customer experience
