Golden Shore Products Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the business, including accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, invoicing, financial reporting and payroll administration.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts and payments.
- Prepare and process customer invoices, purchase orders, quotes and related financial documentation.
- Manage accounts receivable, including recording, allocating and reconciling customer payments.
- Process accounts payable transactions and reconcile supplier accounts.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software, including QuickBooks.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory records, stock movements and inventory balances.
- Assist with stocktakes and investigate inventory discrepancies and variances.
- Assist with the preparation of financial and management reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, costing and pricing analysis.
Skills and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant accounting experience.
- Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Experience with bank reconciliations and financial record keeping.
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or MYOB.
- Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliation.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial and commercial information.
