We have a full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic Machine Operator to join our South Geelong plant.
Godfrey Hirst has over 160 years of manufacturing experience and is part of Mohawk Industries. With three state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Geelong, our team proudly and proudly creates thousands of metres of some of Australia’s finest and highest quality carpets on the market.
The Role
We have multiple full-time, permanent opportunities available for enthusiastic individuals to join our carpet finishing operation at our South Geelong site as Machine Operators. Positions are available on both Day Shift (7:00am-3:00pm) and Afternoon Shift (3:00pm-11:00pm), Monday to Friday. These roles offer stable hours, paid lunch breaks, and regular RDOs, providing a great work-life balance.
Your primary responsibility will be operating machinery within our carpet finishing operation to ensure products are processed safely, efficiently and to quality standards. You will assist with a variety of finishing line duties, including product handling, packing, rework, quality inspections, and the safe movement of materials and finished goods throughout the production area.
Requirements
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Good physical stamina and ability to undertake manual handling
Basic computer skills
Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and team-focused attitude
Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
Mechanical aptitude or knowledge (advantageous)
Valid LF Forklift Licence (advantageous)
On-the-job training and support will be provided to ensure your success in the role.
