We are seeking a dedicated Special Counsel Class Action Solicitor to join our dynamic legal team in Sydney CBD.
This permanent, full-time role is pivotal in managing and advancing class action cases, ensuring that our clients receive the highest standard of legal representation.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our commitment to justice and client advocacy within the legal landscape of Australia.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee class action litigation from inception to resolution.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and external counsel to ensure effective communication and case management.
- Represent clients in court hearings and negotiations.
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments and changes in legislation affecting class actions.
- Mentor and support junior solicitors and legal staff within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
- Admitted to practice as a solicitor in New South Wales.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in class action or litigation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
