Love surgery but wish you had more of it in your week? I’m working with a small animal clinic in Mermaid Waters looking for an experienced GP vet to join the team. You’ll work alongside a Lead Vet who’s happy to pass surgeries your way, with the potential for around 5–7 procedures a day.
What’s on Offer?
- Four-day week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8 am–6 pm
- Saturday mornings, 8 am–1 pm, on a rotation still to be confirmed
- No after-hours or on-call work; closed on public holidays
- 20-minute consultations and a loyal, highly insured client base
- Digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, dental equipment and an in-house lab
- CPD allowance, study leave and access to training workshops
The Clinic
This is an established small animal practice with a team interested in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, dermatology, ultrasound and orthopaedics. They use ezyVet and have specialist support available when needed. The vacancy has come up because a vet is moving overseas.
About You
You’ll have around 3–5 years’ experience, enjoy GP work and be keen to spend more time in surgery. Just as importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys working with a team and getting to know your clients.
Ready for Your Next Chapter?
If more surgery in a four-day week sounds like your kind of move, I’d love to tell you more.
