Experienced Chef (Monday-Friday) I Full-Time
Blue Gum Café is seeking an experienced Chef to lead the kitchen located within a retirement village in Pennant Hills. This role involves creating healthy, nutritious meals for approximately 20 residents.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and prepare weekly lunch and dinner menus (two meal options per service)
- Cook fresh, nutritious meals for approximately 20 residents
- Manage daily kitchen operations
- Monitor food quality and presentation
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
- Manage stock ordering and inventory control
- Ensure dietary requirements are accommodated where required
About you
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Chef
- Strong menu planning and food preparation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a small kitchen
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends when required
- Monday to Friday roster (10:30am - 6:30pm)
- No split shifts
