Glasshaus brings plants into people’s lives across four connected businesses: retail and event floristry, greenscaping hire, plant nurseries and garden design, and our plant-filled venues in Richmond and Cremorne, which host weddings, corporate events, photo shoots and private functions.

Each has its own customers and seasons, and together they make one of Melbourne’s best-known green brands.

About the role

We are looking for a marketing specialist to take charge of marketing across the whole Glasshaus operations.

Reporting to the Company Director, you will identify the growth opportunities in each business and advise on how our venues, floristry, greenscaping hire and nursery offerings should be positioned, priced and promoted — then turn that thinking into plans, campaigns, content and events that bring in the right customers and keep the brand consistent across everything we do.

One role, four businesses — real breadth, direct access to the Director, and a strong brand to build on.

What you will do

  • Spread our love of plants and everything green with Melbourne.
  • Research market demand, customer behaviour and competitor activity across venue hire, floristry, greenscaping and the nursery to find opportunities for new and existing services.
  • Prepare and implement marketing objectives, annual plans and campaign calendars for each business and the group, timed around our different seasonal peaks.
  • Advise us on positioning, service mix and pricing — venue packages and minimum spends, floristry price points, greenscaping rate cards, nursery pricing — using evidence and demand analysis.
  • Develop brand positioning, key messages and tone of voice for the master brand and each business line, and keep brand standards consistent across everything we publish.
  • Develop campaign concepts, briefs and channel plans, and coordinate production with agencies, designers, photographers and media suppliers.
  • Own the website content plan, editorial calendar, email marketing and organic social media, and advise on digital strategy, SEO and analytics.
  • Manage marketing for our private and corporate accounts — communications, retention and repeat business, targeted proposals and campaigns, and cross-promotion between our businesses.
  • Plan and deliver experiential marketing and brand activation events at our venues and elsewhere
  • Measure everything: campaign, website, email, social and content performance, reported by business line with clear recommendations on spend, content, pricing and channels.
  • What you will bring
  • A relevant marketing or advertising degree, or similar.
  • Must have a driver’s license and be able to travel between our venues, with after-hours and weekend work required for events.
  • This is a full-suite hands‑on marketing role where you will be involved in all aspects of marketing, not just stuck in branding or B2B.

You’ll need solid experience developing and implementing marketing plans and programs across B2B, B2C, retail, wholesale and hospitality sectors.

  • You know how to build a brand and gain attention
  • Creativity to use a limited marketing budget to best effect
  • Strong analytical skills — market and audience analysis, positioning, pricing and promotional strategy, and confident use of sales, booking and campaign data.
  • Practical capability across integrated campaigns, website and content marketing, digital advertising, social media and analytics, and the tools that go with them.
  • The organisation to run concurrent projects, brief agencies and suppliers well, and communicate recommendations clearly to management.
  • Excellent written communication, commercial judgement and an eye for detail and brand.

Salary $80-90,000 plus superannuation depending on experience.
