Sessional ADHD and Autism (ADOS-2) Assessor

Company:

Salary: Competitive fixed fees per completed assessment, including the report. Self-employed, sessional.

Giusto Neuro Centre is a new private neurodevelopmental assessment service based in Northampton, founded and run by a Registered Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. We are building a careful, well-organised and neuro-affirming service, and we're looking for experienced assessors to join our sessional team.

The role:

  • Carry out ADHD and/or autism assessments for our clients, in person in Northampton and remotely where clinically appropriate
  • Autism assessors: developmental history and ADOS-2 administration and scoring, contributing to a clear, person-centred report
  • ADHD assessors: structured clinical assessment (e.g. DIVA-5) and a clear written report in line with NICE guidance
  • Write reports to our standard templates, with clinical sign-off and support from our Lead Clinician
  • Give feedback to clients (and parents or carers where relevant) in a kind, clear way

What we offer:

  • Self-employed, sessional work: you choose how many assessments you take on
  • Competitive fixed fees per completed assessment, including the report
  • Admin handled for you: bookings, payments, questionnaires and reminders, in a modern, secure clinical system
  • Standard report templates and clinical leadership support

We welcome applications from everyone, including neurodivergent clinicians.

Appointment is subject to verification of professional registration, two professional references, right-to-work and identity checks, and, for work with children, an enhanced DBS check with barred-list check. Pre-engagement checks are carried out on our behalf by Giusto Care Recruitment Ltd. We use applicants' details only to process their application.

  • Autism assessors: clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, speech and language therapist or other appropriately registered clinician, trained in ADOS-2 (ADI-R desirable)
  • ADHD assessors: psychiatrist, or another appropriately qualified registered clinician with ADHD diagnostic training and experience
  • Current HCPC, GMC or NMC registration
  • Professional indemnity insurance covering private assessment work, or willingness to obtain it
  • Right to work in the UK
