My team is shaping the future of IoT security. G+D makes the lives of billions of people around the world more secure. We create trust in the digital age with integrated security technologies in three business areas: Digital Security, Financial Platforms and Currency Technology. We have been a reliable partner for our customers for over 170 years with our innovative solutions for SecurityTech! We are an international technology group and traditional family business with over 14,000 employees in 40 countries. Creating Confidence is our path to success. Trust is the basis of our co-operation within G+D. We are the reliable partner for all challenges resulting from the Internet of Things.

We offer a complete connectivity portfolio for mobile network operators, automotive manufacturers, technology companies such as chip and module manufacturers as well as transport and logistics providers. Our portfolio includes highly secure solutions in the area of connectivity & IoT, from classic SIM, eSIM and iSIM, to the associated embedded operating systems and life cycle management, through to services for global connectivity and IoT solutions.

About the role: You are the person who makes things happen β€” twice over. This is a deliberately combined role: 50% Customer Product Manager (CPM), 50% Customer Engagement Manager (CEM), based at G+D Mobile Security, Knoxfield, Melbourne. As CPM, you own the voice of the Australian customer inside G+D's product organisation. You translate what MNOs, MVNOs, and enterprise customers actually need β€” for SIM, eSIM, and IoT connectivity β€” into clear product requirements, priorities, and roadmap input that our global product and engineering teams can act on. As CEM, your remit is the ongoing health of the customer relationship once a solution is live. You track adoption, run business reviews, surface expansion opportunities, and make sure the feedback you gather as CPM has somewhere real to land β€” because you're the one holding both ends of that loop.

This is not a passive coordination role, in either half. You own the connection between customer need and product direction, and the connection between product delivery and long-term customer value β€” navigating technical and commercial complexity with confidence, and making decisions that keep both the roadmap and the relationship moving when they otherwise wouldn't.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • Own the customer-facing product requirements β€” gather, prioritise, and document what Australian MNOs, MVNOs, and enterprise customers need from G+D's SIM, eSIM, and IoT connectivity portfolio.
  • Translate customer need into product input β€” work directly with global product management and engineering teams to shape roadmap priorities based on real market and customer signal.
  • Define specifications and acceptance criteria β€” ensure new features, configurations, or solution variants are specified clearly enough for engineering to build with confidence.
  • Support go-to-market β€” help shape positioning, packaging, and pricing input for the Australian market based on customer and competitive insight.
  • Contribute to pre-sales β€” support scoping and solutioning for new opportunities alongside the sales and technical consulting teams, grounded in product reality rather than wishful thinking.
  • Own the relationship post go-live β€” be the consistent, trusted point of contact once a solution is delivered, so customers never feel handed off.
  • Run regular business reviews β€” track adoption, satisfaction, and value realisation against what was promised at sale.
  • Identify expansion and growth opportunities β€” spot where existing customers could benefit from adjacent G+D solutions, and feed those signals to sales.
  • Close the feedback loop β€” bring customer insight, friction points, and feature requests back into your own product requirements work in a structured, prioritised way.
  • Protect retention and advocacy β€” manage renewal risk early, and help turn satisfied customers into referenceable advocates.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years combined experience across product management and customer engagement/account management in telecoms, SIM/eSIM, IoT, or technology.
  • Proven track record translating customer needs into product requirements β€” ideally for Tier-1 MNOs or large enterprise customers.
  • Equally comfortable writing a product spec and nurturing a relationship β€” these require different muscles, and we need both.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity β€” you define the requirement when there isn't one yet, and you build the relationship structure when none exists yet.
  • Sharp communicator β€” equally effective translating customer language into engineering language, and running a quarterly business review.
  • Experience with product management frameworks (roadmapping, prioritisation, requirements definition) preferred.
  • Familiarity with GSMA standards, SIM lifecycle, or eSIM provisioning is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in customer success, account management, or client engagement functions is highly valued.
  • Ability to work autonomously across time zones as part of a distributed APAC team.

What Makes This Role Different:

G+D is not a start-up and not a bureaucracy. We are a 170-year-old global technology company operating at the frontier of eSIM, IoT connectivity, and mobile security β€” and our Australian team punches well above its weight. You will shape products that connect millions of devices, support Australia's biggest operators, and contribute to a global portfolio that shapes how the world connects. This combined CPM/CEM structure means you won't just write requirements and move on β€” you'll see the full arc from customer need, through product direction, to long-term relationship value. Few roles give you that complete a view of the customer and product lifecycle together. You will have the backing of a world-class APAC technical consulting team and the autonomy to shape both product direction and customer relationships the way a professional should.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary + performance incentive.
  • Flexible working β€” hybrid model across Australia.
  • Global career pathway within G+D's APAC and international structure.
  • Direct exposure to the world's leading SIM, eSIM, and IoT technology programmes.
  • A team that knows its stuff and expects you too as well.

At G+D Australia, we are dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where every employee feels valued and respected. We are committed to providing equal opportunities and ensure that all applications are assessed based on merit. We invite and encourage individuals with disabilities, as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, to apply for any of our positions. We are an equal opportunity employer! We promote diversity in all its forms and create an inclusive work environment, free from prejudice, discrimination and harassment, in which all employees feel a sense of belonging.
