About the Role: We are excited to offer a Warehouse Yardperson / Maintenance Person position at our Sydney Smithfield Distribution Centre. Join our dynamic growing team and play a vital role in our efficient operations!
The primary role of the Warehouse Yardperson is to undertake:
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse, yard, loading areas, and external surrounds.
- Complete general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, rubbish removal, recycling, and keeping walkways and work areas clear.
- Assist with basic site and equipment maintenance, minor repairs, and reporting hazards or maintenance issues.
- Safely move, load, unload, and store stock, bins, and equipment as required.
- Operate a forklift and other approved equipment as required.
- Follow all company policies, safety requirements, quality practices, and manual-handling procedures.
About you, skills and experience: We are looking for someone with the right attitude and ability to be adaptable, think on your feet, communicate efficiently and work well within a team. We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, maintenance, or similar hands-on role.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, and maintaining an organised work environment.
- Ability to perform physical and repetitive work, including manual handling of items up to 15kg.
- Forklift licence is desirable.
