Core Value:

Truth-seeking & practical, hardworking & enterprising, collaborative & innovative

About the Role

As a Development & AI Engineer, you will lead the localization of Geely’s digital ecosystem in Australia by developing custom solutions on the regional platform, deploying AI capabilities, and enabling partners through technical collaboration. You will be the technical anchor for innovation at the local level, ensuring technology delivers competitive advantage and customer value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize applications on Geely’s regional ecosystem platform to meet Australia-specific business and customer requirements.
  • Document code, architectures, and integration patterns for knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
  • Architect and implement robust API interfaces and middleware solutions to seamlessly connect Geely’s global systems with local Australian legacy systems or third-party data sources.

2. AI Capability Building

  • Design, build, and deploy AI Agents to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and decision‑making.
  • Empower local business units through AI‑driven insights and automation tools — acting as a technical coach and enabler.

3. Managing third-party tech services

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for dealerships, external partners, and third-party vendors — managing integrations, APIs, and technical specifications.
  • Lead technical evaluation and selection of local suppliers and SaaS providers, ensuring alignment with Geely’s security, scalability, and compliance standards.
  • Define technical standards and code review guidelines for external development partners and local vendors to ensure consistent quality, security, and maintainability of third-party deliverables.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on development experience in Python, Java, or similar languages; experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and API‑based architectures.
  • Hands‑on experience in AI/machine learning—including algorithms or applications.
  • Understanding of automotive or retail digital ecosystems (e.g., DMS, CRM, dealer portals) is highly desirable.
  • Self‑driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in ambiguity within a high‑growth startup‑like environment within a global corporation.
