My client is an ASX-listed resources company with projects in Australia and overseas. They have a small, close-knit environment team in Perth and are looking for an Environmental Advisor to join them on a permanent full-time basis. This is a hands-on Perth-based role (no FIFO) with a mix of office work and occasional field work (a few times per year). Environment is the main focus, with some HSE systems work as well. It would suit someone with a good few years in mining who enjoys variety and doesn't mind rolling their sleeves up.

The Role

  • Prepare environmental compliance reports to meet licence and approval requirements
  • Coordinate environmental monitoring, including groundwater, fauna (camera monitoring), sampling and data collection
  • Regular field trips to a remote WA project site, roughly once a quarter for around 1-2 weeks, plus occasional travel to other Australian projects and possibly overseas
  • Manage and review environmental data
  • Support the HSE management system, including procedures, inspections and audits

About You

  • Degree in Environmental Science or a related field
  • Around 5 - 10 years of environmental experience in mining or resources
  • Solid experience writing environmental compliance reports
  • Some exposure to health and safety, such as systems, inspections or audits (a Cert IV in WHS is a bonus but not essential)
  • Happy to do occasional field work
  • A team player who is happy to help out wherever needed in a small team
  • Current driver's licence

What's On Offer

  • Salary anticipated around $135k - $150k base + super + 15% STI (negotiable)
  • Perth office with some working from home
  • Variety across WA, other Australian and overseas projects
  • Small, supportive team
