About the Opportunity
Garwood Tree Services is expanding its services and introducing a new shed building and construction division. We are looking for an experienced, QBCC-licensed Shed Builder to join our growing team and help establish this new area of the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the right skills, qualifications and experience to take ownership of shed construction projects, work with a supportive team and play an important role in the growth of a new service offering.
Based from our Yatala depot, you will be responsible for overseeing and completing a range of shed construction and installation projects across South East Queensland.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Construction and installation of sheds, including domestic, rural and commercial structures.
- Reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings and specifications.
- Coordinating materials, equipment and project requirements.
- Managing site preparation and ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently.
- Ensuring all construction work meets relevant building codes, standards and compliance requirements.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and internal management.
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and professionalism on every project.
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, hands-on and takes pride in delivering quality work.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current and relevant QBCC licence.
- Demonstrated experience in shed building, steel construction or similar building projects.
- The ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of building standards, safety requirements and construction practices.
- The ability to work independently and manage projects from start to finish.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A current Australian driver's licence.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.
Highly regarded
- Experience with large-scale, commercial or rural shed installations.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and project timelines.
- Relevant trade qualifications or additional construction licences.
