About the Role
Garden Village is looking for a reliable and hands-on Casual Maintenance & Grounds Person to help keep our beautiful aged care and retirement living community clean, neat and tidy for our residents, visitors and staff.
This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in maintaining clean surroundings and understands the importance of creating a welcoming environment for our residents.
Working across our grounds and outdoor areas, you will help maintain the cleanliness and presentation of our community. This role focuses on general outdoor cleaning and upkeep, with no lawn mowing or gardening duties involved.
Key Responsibilities

Pressure washing outdoor areas, pathways and hard surfaces.

Collecting, removing and emptying bins.

Cleaning and tidying outdoor common areas.

Removing litter and ensuring outdoor spaces remain presentable and free of rubbish.

Identifying and reporting maintenance issues or potential safety hazards.

Supporting the maintenance team with general cleaning and upkeep tasks as required.
About You

Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on outdoor work.

Take pride in keeping spaces clean, safe and well presented.

Have a practical, can-do attitude and good attention to detail.

Are respectful, friendly and considerate when working around older people.

Have an understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance or a similar hands-on role is desirable but not essential for the right person.
