A well-regarded Brisbane firm with a growing safety and incident management practice is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Workplace Relations and Employment team.

Make the practice your own
Working alongside Partners, you’ll have genuine autonomy to run your own matters and build your own client relationships. You’ll advise and represent employers on safety issues, including prosecutions and regulator engagement, and become the person clients call first when something goes wrong on site. You’ll also support an established client base with practical, commercial employment advice.

It’s a strong move for a high-performing lawyer who wants to become a recognised name in safety law.

Where you’ll fit

5+ years’ PAE, or comparable industry experience

  • Background in safety law, ideally including prosecutions and regulator engagement (resources sector exposure is a bonus)
  • Solid experience advising employers on employment disputes and industrial matters
  • Strong litigation skills across the relevant courts and tribunals
  • Excellent drafting, ideally honed in corporate or advisory work
  • A confident, practical, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to build trust with clients
  • A real interest in growing your safety practice

Why people stay

  • Manageable billing expectations and incentive opportunities
  • In-house support to build your external profile
  • A fantastic CBD location with excellent on-site facilities
  • A generous leave package, including parental and personal leave benefits
  • A collaborative, people-first culture
