We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Site Supervisor to join a Project Home Builder in the Hervey Bay Region. The region is experiencing economic growth across Agriculture, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Renewable Energy Sectors attracting new residents to the area looking for a quieter life away from Metro regions.
As a Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of up to 20 Projects across Hervey Bay and Fraser Coast, QLD.
What you'll be doing:
- Coordinate and supervise the work of construction crews, including subcontractors, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to protect the well-being of all site personnel.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination across the project.
- Ensure the site is well-organised and that all necessary materials, equipment, and tools are available.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to the construction team to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the project, including timesheets, incident reports, and quality control checks.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Leading Hand, or Foreperson.
- Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate teams.
- Proficient in the use of construction management software and digital tools.
- Certification in construction management or a related field is preferred.
