We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join a busy specialist medical practice in Strathfield. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a specialist environment and can confidently manage the administrative demands of a busy practice.
Working Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the practice and ensuring patients receive a professional and welcoming experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing patient appointments and specialist bookings.
- Coordinating theatre bookings and surgical arrangements.
- Processing referrals and managing incoming correspondence.
- Answering patient enquiries via phone and email.
- Managing patient records and updating information using Genie.
- Liaising with hospitals, specialists and other medical professionals.
- Providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
About You
- Previous experience working as a Medical Secretary within a specialist medical practice is essential.
- Confident using Genie medical software.
- Experience coordinating theatre bookings and managing specialist appointments.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Professional and confident communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- A friendly, approachable manner with a genuine commitment to patient care.
