Dispatch Coordinator – Day Shift

Ready to take the next step in your logistics career?

We’re looking for a Dispatch Coordinator to join a busy manufacturing operation and play a key role in keeping the warehouse and dispatch function running smoothly.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in dispatch, warehousing, logistics or outbound operations who is ready to take on more responsibility.

You’ll be hands‑on, working alongside the warehouse team while coordinating daily priorities and making sure customer orders get out in full and on time.

Our client is an established manufacturer with a busy production and distribution operation, supplying a range of specialised products to customers across Australia and overseas.

This is a hands‑on environment where quality, efficiency and getting orders out on time are key.

You’ll work closely with production, warehouse and transport teams, so no two days will be exactly the same.

If you’re organised, proactive and enjoy being the person who keeps things moving, this could be a great next step.

Why you'll want this role

  • Day shift – Monday to Friday
  • Take ownership of an important part of the operation
  • Opportunity to step up into a coordinating/leadership position
  • Hands‑on role with variety and responsibility
  • Work within a busy manufacturing environment
  • Be part of a team that values safety, accountability and getting the job done properly
  • Long‑term opportunity for the right person

The role

You’ll be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day dispatch function, ensuring orders are prepared, loaded and dispatched accurately and on time.

Your day will involve

  • Coordinating daily dispatch and outbound goods
  • Prioritising workloads and keeping the team on track
  • Picking, checking and loading customer orders
  • Operating a forklift to load and unload goods
  • Liaising with production, warehouse and transport teams
  • Managing dispatch paperwork and maintaining stock accuracy
  • Resolving issues and adjusting priorities when things change
  • Supporting the warehouse team and maintaining a safe, organised work area

What we're looking for We’re keen to speak with people who have

  • 2+ years' experience in dispatch, warehousing, logistics or transport
  • Current LF forklift licence – essential
  • Experience coordinating outbound goods, orders or warehouse activities
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • The ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Good communication and a proactive approach
  • Leading Hand, Team Leader or supervisory experience is highly regarded, but not essential

Experience with WMS/ERP systems, inventory control or manufacturing/distribution environments will also be highly regarded.

You don't necessarily need to have held a formal leadership title.

If you're already the person who takes initiative, keeps the warehouse organised and helps coordinate the team, this could be the opportunity to step up.

If you're looking for a day‑shift opportunity where you can take ownership, build on your logistics experience and move into a more senior position, we'd love to hear from you.
