Do you want to work for an organisation that makes a real difference to the lives of those affected by sexual, domestic, and family violence?

About Us

Full Stop Australia is a not-for-profit organisation, operating nationally, but based in Sydney. Our mission is to put a full stop to sexual, domestic, and family violence and to support those who have been impacted by violence and abuse. We operate the NSW Sexual Violence Helpline and a range of specialist Redress and domestic violence counselling services. Full Stop Australia also offers best-practice training and professional services to support safe and respectful workplaces, and advocate for changes to laws, policies, and practices to better prevent and respond to sexual, domestic, and family violence.

About the Role

This initiative is designed by and for Aboriginal communities, placing cultural mentoring, yarning practices, and First Nations knowledge at the centre of all activities. Guided by Aunties and respected cultural mentors, the network will provide a dedicated space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander frontline workers who regularly receive disclosures of sexual violence while working outside specialist sexual violence services. The Community Engagement Lead is a part time two days per week contract position, reporting to the Director Clinical and Client Services and will also work directly with First Nations clients impacted by institutional child sexual abuse, supporting their engagement with and journey through the National Redress Scheme. As an identified position within the Clinical and Client Services Team, the Community and Engagement Lead will play a key role in strengthening relationships with First Nations communities and enhancing culturally safe pathways into Full Stop Australia's services.
