About the role
The Interim Financial Controller is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations at the College.
This role involves overseeing the finance staff team, maintaining financial administration and reporting systems, and liaising with senior management.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations at the College
- Maintain financial administration and reporting systems including the general ledger
- Supervise finance staff, delegating tasks effectively
- Monitor cash flow and working capital
- Prepare government grant applications and monitor their receipt
- Review and oversee payroll processing and accounting
- Prepare monthly financial statements and departmental budget reports
- Liaise with auditors during the College's financial audit.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in financial management and reporting within an educational or similar setting
- Strong capability in managing finance teams and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management and external constituents
- CA or CPA membership is required
- High level of digital literacy, including advanced use of Microsoft Office.
