Payroll Officer | c.$50-60 p/hour (negotiable) | Melbourne CBD | Sickness Cover | Potential for Temp-2-Perm
Four Quarters have exclusively partnered with a well-established business seeking immediate support and require an experienced Payroll Officer to oversee the fortnightly payroll for c.100 employees.
This is an end-to-end role, covering all aspects of payroll up to submissions. As such, this position is bestsuited to someone who is immediately available and seeking to take ownership of payroll processing within a friendly SME environment.
Job Specification:
- Manage the end-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll for approximately 100 employees.
- Process payroll for a mix of full-time, casual, temporary and seasonal workforce employees.
- Review, validate and process employee timesheets and attendance records.
- Maintain employee payroll records, ensuring accuracy of employee data and employment changes.
- Calculate wages, overtime, allowances, deductions and leave entitlements.
- Manage new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments.
- Process superannuation contributions and ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
- Prepare and lodge Payroll Tax returns and assist with reconciliations.
Desired Skills / Experience:
- At least 1 years’ experience running end-to-end payroll
- Definitiv experience desired but not essential
- Organisational and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- Experience dealing with fortnightly payroll
- Knowledge of payroll tax
