Qualified Electrician – Full Time | Forster NSW
Forster Solar & Lighting is looking for a qualified electrician to join our small, friendly team.
We are a local, family-owned electrical and solar business based in Forster, servicing the Mid North Coast.
You don't need solar experience to apply. We're looking for a good electrician first and foremost. If you haven't worked with solar or batteries before, we're happy to provide training and help you build those skills.
About the Role
This is a full-time position with plenty of variety. No two weeks are exactly the same, with work including:
- New home electrical rough-ins and fit-offs
- Renovations and general electrical work
- Lighting and ceiling fan installations
- Switchboard upgrades
- Fault finding and maintenance
- Solar and battery installations
- Other residential and light commercial electrical work
If you already have solar or battery experience, that's a bonus — but it is not essential.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a current NSW electrical licence
- Has a current Australian driver's licence
- Holds a Construction White Card
- Takes pride in their workmanship
- Is reliable and has a good work ethic
- Can work well independently and as part of a small team
- Is friendly and professional with customers
- Is willing to learn and get involved in different types of electrical work
Working at Heights and solar accreditation/experience are an advantage, but not a requirement for the right applicant.
What We Offer
- Competitive wages, paid weekly
- Company work vehicle provided
- Full-time, secure employment
- Varied electrical work — you're not doing the same job every day
- Opportunity to learn and gain experience in solar and battery systems
- Work with a small, established local team
- Based in beautiful Forster on the NSW Mid North Coast
We're based in Forster, with work throughout the surrounding Mid North Coast region including Taree, Tea Gardens, Gloucester, Wingham and Port Macquarie.
