We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our dedicated team at our Lotus House based in Albion Park on a temporary full-time basis for 3 months initially with possible extension. This is an exciting opportunity to lead within a supportive environment that prioritises quality care and a positive team culture. Join a caring organisation where it’s all about enhancing inclusion, independence, and the well-being of our clients and staff.

About Us

At Forsight Australia, we believe in creating positive futures through our commitment to innovation, diversity, and continuous learning. As a leading organisation in our field, we are dedicated to fostering a workplace culture that values individual contributions, embraces diversity, and promotes professional growth. As a ‘for-purpose’ organisation providing Supported Independent Living (SIL) to individuals with a range of sensory impairments and additional disabilities, our focus is to create opportunities for our clients to enhance their independence, inclusion, and well-being.

About the role

Our Team Leaders work within a hybrid model, combining frontline client support with leadership responsibilities. Typically, they work a shift work roster, spending time alongside our Active Support Workers (ASWs), with two dedicated shifts per week allocated to team leader duties. In this role, the Team Leader works closely with a dedicated Client Care Manager and Client Care Coordinator to lead a small, home-based team of ASWs, delivering person-centred support that empowers clients in their daily lives. Strong communication and collaboration with key stakeholders, such as families, guardians, and other service providers, is essential. Equally important is the ability to lead, support, and develop a small but passionate team to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

About You

  • You are enthusiastic, caring and committed to supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life!
  • You will have Cert III in Disability, or related discipline or at least 1 year experience in a similar role.
  • Led teams before and have an excellent grasp of how to lead and motivate others.
  • Be able to work with challenging behaviours in a supportive model of care.
  • Available for regular shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster (including sleepover and active nights).
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (with at least 3 months until expiry).
  • Valid and unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
  • Unrestricted right to work in Australia - open to sponsorships.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
