Our customer base ranges from small companies with one forklift to the large multinational companies with large fleets, to which we maintain, repair and service to the highest quality both onsite and in our workshop. The role
We’re looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead our Western Sydney service operation, based at our Minchinbury branch. You’ll run the day-to-day across the workshop and the field. That means keeping technicians productive, jobs on schedule, customers informed and the hire fleet in top shape. It’s a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows forklifts and knows how to run a team.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading, scheduling and supporting a team of field and workshop technicians
- Managing service, repair and preventative maintenance programs for customer and hire fleets
- Overseeing job quoting, invoicing and workshop efficiency to hit service KPIs
- Coordinating with the parts and hire teams to minimise downtime
- Building strong relationships with key customers and handling escalations
- Ensuring WHS compliance, safe work practices and accurate service records
- Recruiting, training and developing technicians
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in a service management or senior supervisory role in forklift, materials handling, mobile plant or a similar industry
- Strong technical background; a trade qualification (e.g. Cert III Mobile Plant Technology, Diesel or Auto Electrical) is highly regarded
- Solid understanding of LPG, diesel and electric forklifts across multiple brands
- Great people leadership and communication skills
- Commercial awareness, including quoting, budgets and KPIs
