Forensicare is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Legal, Governance and Strategy team. The Legal Counsel reports to the Head of Legal and will assist the Legal, Governance & Strategy Directorate in the delivery of legal advice and assistance on a broad range of areas to guide and inform Forensicare’s legal responsibilities, compliance and decision making.
The Legal Counsel will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a high standard of legal services, including in the areas of commercial contracting, privacy, employment, corporate governance and risk management and ensuring Forensicare’s compliance with relevant laws, regulations, standards and codes of conduct.
This is a role that will expose the successful candidate to a breadth of legal, compliance and governance issues and provide an opportunity to develop their legal expertise in a supportive team environment.
A strong self-starter and problem solver, you will have had 1-2 years post admission experience in a respected firm or in-house setting. You are confident and personable which enables you to thrive in a team environment and successfully engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. You also have excellent communication and drafting skills, including the ability to write in a clear and engaging manner.

This position will be based at Thomas Embling Hospital with a requirement to work across all Forensicare sites from time to time.
