About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Contracts & Project Controller to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in the preparation and coordination of major tenders and project controls across a diverse range of mining, construction and industrial projects.

Working Monday to Friday, with a monthly RDO, you will play a key role in the preparation, coordination and submission of high-quality tenders while supporting project planning and controls throughout the pre-contract phase.

With flexibility for this position to be based in Mackay, Queensland or Welshpool (Perth), Western Australia, you'll work closely with Division Managers, Project Managers and technical specialists to deliver high-quality tender submissions and support the successful planning and mobilisation of projects.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working collaboratively and have a passion for delivering quality outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.

This role offers a diverse workload covering project-based tenders, long-term service contracts and maintenance agreements.

While experience within the mining sector is highly desirable, we also welcome applicants with strong tender and project controls experience from construction, engineering, industrial services, infrastructure or other related industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare complex tender submissions from initial enquiry through to final submission.
  • Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings and commercial requirements.
  • Develop tender schedules and manage submission timelines to ensure all deadlines are achieved.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather technical, commercial and operational information required for submissions.
  • Prepare tender documentation, pricing schedules, methodologies, programmes and supporting information.
  • Assist with estimating activities and commercial reviews where required.
  • Develop project execution plans and project control documentation during the pre-contract phase.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource forecasting.
  • Maintain accurate tender registers, document control systems and project records.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities within tender documentation.
  • Coordinate clarifications, client correspondence and post-tender negotiations where required.
  • Assist with project mobilisation and handover to operations following successful contract awards.
  • Drive continuous improvement of tendering processes, templates and project control systems.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be an organised and proactive professional who enjoys managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

You will demonstrate

  • Previous experience in a Pre-Contracts, Tendering, Project Controls or Project Coordination role.
  • Proven experience preparing and submitting medium to large-scale tenders.
