Help Deliver Healthcare Where It Matters Most

At the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section(RFDSSE), every journey matters. While our aircraft are recognised around the world, it's our people who make the difference. As a Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPTS) Ground Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in ensuring patients receive safe, compassionate, and professional care during their healthcare journey.

This is a unique opportunity for experienced nurses who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about patient-centered care. You will work independently, make clinical decisions, and become part of an organisation trusted by Australians for over 95 years.

The Opportunity

  • Conduct patient assessments and monitor clinical stability throughout transport
  • Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration appropriately
  • Liaise with hospitals, the Operations Centre, the Aero-medical team and other healthcare stakeholders
  • Maintain patient documentation and clinical standards
  • Contribute to operational and administrative activities when required
  • Work within a highly supportive and collaborative transport healthcare team

About You

You're an experienced Registered Nurse who remains calm under pressure, communicates confidently, and enjoys working autonomously while delivering exceptional patient care.

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Current ALS and BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum 3 years post-graduate acute nursing experience
  • ICU and/or Emergency Department experience
  • NSW Driver License
  • Ability to obtain required clearances and mandatory checks
