Are you looking to build your career in payroll and join a team that makes a real difference?

At the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE), we're proud to deliver essential healthcare services to people living, working and travelling across rural, regional and remote New South Wales. As one of Australia's most trusted and iconic charities, our people are united by a shared purpose to improve health outcomes and make a real difference in the communities we serve.

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services across our organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their payroll, administration, finance or customer service career who is eager to learn, enjoys working with numbers, and wants to develop their skills in a supportive environment.

About the Role

As a Payroll Officer, you'll work closely with the payroll team to assist with the end-to-end payroll function, helping ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. You'll be responsible for maintaining payroll records, responding to employee enquiries and supporting a range of payroll-related administrative processes.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings the right attitude and aptitude, including:

  • A strong willingness to learn and develop a career in payroll.
  • Driven, motivation and a proactive approach to work.
  • A genuine desire to help people and provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • An aptitude for working with numbers and data.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Previous payroll experience is advantageous but not essential. We welcome applications from candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative and a commitment to learning.

Why Join Us?

  • Permanent full-time employment.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
  • Supportive and collaborative team culture.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Opportunity to build specialist payroll knowledge and grow your career.
  • Meaningful work supporting an organisation committed to making a positive impacting the community.

If you're someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with numbers and delivering great service while building a rewarding career, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and take the next step in your payroll career.
