We are looking for a permanent full-time Cook to join our team at Shop 6, 2 Wilmot Street, South Toowoomba, Australia. Competitive compensation based on experience and skill level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspecting food items to ensure freshness and quality
- Controlling temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes
- Adding seasoning to food during the cooking process
- Portioning meals, plating, and adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes
- Storing food in appropriate temperature-controlled environments
- Preparing meals to accommodate special dietary needs
- Assisting in menu planning and estimating food requirements
- Supporting the training of kitchen staff and apprentices
ATTRIBUTES:
- Minimum of 1-year relevant qualification
- Minimum 1 year experience in a relevant discipline is required
- Committed to adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the kitchen
