Day Shift Maintenance Fitter - M-F 6AM-2:30PM
We're recruiting for a well-established FMCG manufacturer looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter & Turner to join their team at their Mascot facility.
This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where preventative maintenance, problem-solving and minimising production downtime are key to the operation.
What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance across plant, equipment and production machinery
Troubleshooting mechanical issues and minimising unplanned downtime
Maintaining and servicing machinery to ensure safe, reliable operation
Completing equipment calibration in line with maintenance schedules
Coordinating machine changeovers and size adjustments
Managing maintenance requests and prioritising daily tasks
Supporting plant optimisation and continuous improvement
Liaising with suppliers regarding spare parts, equipment and machinery
What We're Looking For
Trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter or Fitter & Turner
Previous experience in plant maintenance within a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and equipment reliability
Ability to prioritise competing maintenance tasks in a fast-paced production environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
A hands‑on approach with a focus on safety and minimising downtime
Permanent, full-time position
Stable Monday-Friday day shift
