First Nations Support (FNS) is a First Nations-led service provider delivering culturally safe supports across NDIS, Child Safety and Youth Justice in Brisbane and the Moreton Bay region.
We're looking for a Support Worker to join our team and make a genuine difference in the lives of the participants and families we work with.
About the Role
You’ll provide one-on-one NDIS support tailored to each participant’s goals, including community access, daily living skills, social and recreational participation, and capacity building.
Shifts can vary and may include weekends.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting participants with community access and social participation
- Assisting with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, transport, etc.)
- Supporting participants to work towards their NDIS goals
- Building positive, trusting relationships with the people you support
- Accurate shift notes and progress reporting in line with NDS requirements
- Working collaboratively with support coordinators, plan managers and families
- What We’re Looking For
- Experience in disability support or a related field (desirable but not essential)
- Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- A person-centred, strengths-based approach to support
