About us
First Nations Support (FNS) is a First Nations-led provider delivering culturally safe, community-driven care across NDIS, Child Safety and Youth Justice in South East Queensland. We believe good support starts with trust, respect and connection to culture, and we’re growing our team of long-term, reliable support workers.
About the role
We’re looking for female Support Workers to fill a number of ongoing supports across the week in the Moreton Bay region. Shifts are available Monday to Friday, and we’re happy to work around your availability. You’ll build a regular roster with the same participants, which gives you the time to build real trust and rapport. Our participants enjoy getting out and about, so this is an active role with plenty of community and outdoor activities. As we grow, there’s the chance to pick up more shifts across the company over time.
What you’ll do
- Provide 1:1 support, including community outings, outdoor activities and getting out and about
- Support daily living skills and everyday routines
- Build a consistent, respectful relationship with the participant
- Complete accurate shift notes after each shift
- Follow the participant’s plan and report any incidents or concerns to the FNS team straight away
What you’ll need
- Blue Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Reliable vehicle, current driver’s licence and car insurance
- Previous disability support experience preferred
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or Youth Work (or working towards one) is desirable
- Reliable, respectful and looking for a long-term role
